Great to welcome @lizshuler.bsky.social to our @laborcaucus.bsky.social meeting. The best social program in the world is a good-paying job. I look forward to continuing working alongside @aflcio.org to bring workers to the table & stand up to the Trump administration's attacks on working families.
Happy Greek Independence Day!

We need to address China's cheating in the shipbuilding industry and level the playing field for American workers.
That's why we led over 60 Members of Congress in calling on USTR for effective remedies to protect American shipbuilding 🚢
As co-chair of the @laborcaucus.bsky.social, I stand in honor of those we lost and the activists who fought for the protections we have today. We’ve come a long way, but the fight for fair, safe working conditions is far from over.
114 years ago, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire claimed 146 lives—most of them young women. This tragedy sparked a movement that pushed for real change in workplace safety and workers’ rights.
Social Security is in crisis. Staffers are being pushed out, retirees are waiting hours for help, and benefits are at risk, all while Trump hands over control to Elon Musk. Workers paid in, and they deserve better.
On Equal Pay Day, we’re reminded that fair wages aren’t a privilege, they’re a right. Wage gaps hurt working families and hold our economy back. Everyone deserves a fair day’s pay for a hard day's work.

I strongly believe town halls are a cornerstone of our democracy. I have held over 100 town halls since serving in Congress and hope to see you this week at the Camden County Town Hall on March 27!
Today, I had the opportunity to testify on China's unfair and predatory practices in the shipbuilding industry. As Co-chair of the @laborcaucus.bsky.social and a member of @democrats-armedservices.house.gov, I know American workers can compete with anyone when we are all given the same rules.
Trump and House Republicans' upcoming Medicaid cuts jeopardize lifesaving health care for nearly 1.8 million Americans, raising costs and taking money out of your wallet to put in the pockets of the wealthiest Americans.
Read about the effects of these cuts on NJ here:
Today, we honor the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. At a time when the military was segregated, these men stepped up and served with courage. Their achievements paved the way for progress, and we will never forget their service.
On World Down Syndrome Day, I’m reminded of my visit to Saint John of God last fall where I saw the power of inclusion firsthand. Everyone deserves meaningful work and opportunity. I’ll always fight in Congress to support our neighbors and loved ones with disabilities and their families.
60 years ago, brave Americans marched from Selma to Montgomery to demand their right to vote. Their courage changed history and still inspires us today as we fight to protect voting rights for all.
In this country, every student deserves the opportunity, resources, and support to reach their full potential. It's time for my Republican colleagues to step up and join me in fighting back against Trump's reckless actions.
Cutting public education could mean losing student loans, a lack of support for students with disabilities, educators losing their jobs, fewer mental health resources, canceling after-school or summer programs, and so much more.
President Trump's executive order to abolish the Department of Education is unlawful and will be challenged in court. The power to eliminate this agency lies with Congress, but President Trump's careless actions will have real impacts on American families.
Happy first day of spring!
It was great to attend the Delaware River Watershed breakfast last week. As someone who enjoys kayaking, I know the importance of keeping our waters clean and support legislation in Congress that will help conserve this watershed for future generations.
Trump and Musk need to keep their hands off of Social Security and stop dismantling the programs that make our country great.
