Three years ago, Roe v. Wade was overturned by the conservative Supreme Court.
Let’s be clear: abortion is health care, and your health care decisions belong to you—not politicians.
Today and every day, I’m proud to stand with the people as we continue the fight for #ReproductiveFreedomNow!

No family should lose healthcare or go hungry just to give another tax break to millionaires and billionaires who are already doing unfathomably well.
But that’s exactly what Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill would do.
It’s sinful.

More than 57 million Americans must travel great distances to reach their nearest physician.
Our bipartisan bill would expand rural health grants to include community paramedicine, enabling those in rural areas to access quality care right at their door.

Across Missouri, rural communities are struggling to access quality healthcare that is both affordable and convenient—which is why I introduced the Community Paramedicine Act with Rep. Harshbarger.

With food insecurity already on the rise, Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill would make the largest cut to SNAP in history, taking food off the tables of vulnerable families nationwide.
I won’t stop fighting to protect these investments for our community.
www.kansascity.com/news/politic...
The American people do not want Republicans to kick 16 million Americans off healthcare, rip food assistance away from millions of households, and add $3 trillion in debt just to fund more tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.
But that's the latest #GOPTaxScam
New: Polls show Trump's big bill is unpopular as Republicans stare down their deadline for passage
Five recent national surveys tell a similar story.

Regime change wars in the Middle East have been catastrophic for the U.S. in recent decades.
The American people do not want to participate in another long, destructive, and expensive quagmire that the president appears to be dragging us into.
President Trump's bombing of three sites in Iran was unconstitutional; only Congress can declare war.
Our communities thrive when every individual has access to the tools they need to succeed. I stand with the students and educators at LiteracyKC will continue fighting for federal investments in adult education. Adult learners deserve a government that empowers their growth and community engagement.
Eliminating adult education grants would strip away essential opportunities for students who are working hard to:
-Earn their G.E.D
-Obtain their driver’s license
-Advance in their careers
-Participate fully in our democracy by voting
-Achieve U.S. citizenship
This proposal includes the complete elimination of $729 million in funding to adult education programs- a devastating cut that would directly impact more than 2K students who rely on Literacy KC’s services.
Today, I had the privilege of meeting with students at
LiteracyKC to discuss the Trump Administration’s proposed “skinny budget”.
Democrats are united to stop Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill and protect healthcare for Americans.
The House’s Big, Ugly Bill would take healthcare away from 16 MILLION Americans. Now Senate Republicans are making it even worse with more cuts that will rip healthcare and food away from families and force hospitals across America to close.
All for what? Tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.
"The Senate’s version of a bill to enact President Trump’s agenda goes further to reduce Medicaid spending than the House-passed bill does."

This morning, I joined leaders in #MO05 to shine a light on the sharp rise in food insecurity hitting our communities. During #HungerActionMonth, we’re calling out the Trump administration’s dangerous cuts to federal nutrition programs & standing up for every family’s right to food, dignity, & care.
On #Juneteenth, I stood with @seiulocal1.bsky.social janitors in Kansas City – Black, Brown, and immigrant workers fighting for the dignity of fair wages.
The struggle for racial and economic justice is one and the same and I am proud to stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity.
The president’s tariff taxes are raising costs at a time when families are already struggling with the cost of living—and it’s beginning to slow the economy.
It’s time for Republicans to stand up to this short-sighted and self-sabotaging trade policy.
House Republicans passed the Big Ugly Bill that would rip healthcare away from 16 million Americans—but that wasn’t enough for Senate Republicans, who are attempting to make even more cuts to Medicaid and kick more people off coverage.
It’s sinful.
