my main problem with manhattan walking is that my London brain uses "complexity of directions" as a heuristic for "length" and all directions in manhattan are "go up this avenue and turn right at this street" and then you walk for two hours
grids HUGE for stopping meandering, yeah. when you stand at one end of a long straight road and know that the next 45 minutes of your walk are just down this one road it's dull
it's fine you can just hum the catchy melody of something you've listened to instead
and we're _sure_ this isn't the gatwick thing where drones that were sent out to look for the original operator were filmed by third parties and then became part of the evidence that there was an original operator
Danes describing them as "a very skilled operator" and I'm just wondering… is this skilled in the sense of “wow, it’s amazing, people kept seeing them and then by the time we went to get the camera with the long lens, the very skilled operator had made them disappear again”
