In the Ocean State, waterfront industries like fishing & tourism help our communities flourish. That’s why I’m supporting @pingree.house.gov’s Keep America's Waterfronts Working Act to: 🦺Protect jobs 🏗️Strengthen infrastructure 🏖️Improve public access 🌊Support our Blue Economy
Met with Christina Whatmough from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to hear about caring for a loved one with this devastating disease. During Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month and every month, I’ll keep fighting to lower health care costs and support lifesaving research.
. @housedemocrats.bsky.social and @democrats.senate.gov are standing together to end the war, stop the chaos, and lower costs. No more taxpayer money for: 🪩 Trump’s gilded ballroom 🚨 ICE and Border Patrol cruelty 🦹‍♂️Trump’s convicted crony slush fund! You deserve better.
Spoke with Melissa from Seven Hills RI about fighting the Big, Ugly Law’s Medicaid cuts that will impact Rhode Islanders living with disabilities. I’ll keep fighting to fund services for our neighbors and the direct service professionals who care for them.
Sad to learn of former Congressman Barney Frank’s passing. From his work to support our economy through crisis to his leadership defending LGBTQ+ rights, Congressman Frank made a lasting impact on America. My thoughts are with those who loved him.
Barney Frank, a longtime Massachusetts congressman and trailblazer for gay rights, has died at 86. Look back at his life here: https://www.wpri.com/new-england/massachusetts/barney-frank-a-liberal-congressman-and-trailblazer-for-gay-rights-dies-at-86/

Reminded Providence students at PVD Civics Day of Uncle Ben’s famous lesson in Spider-Man: “With great power comes great responsibility.” Enjoyed talking about public service & the importance of participating in our democracy. These students are ready to make a difference.
May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the history, culture, contributions & resilience of Jewish Americans in RI and across the country. As antisemitism rises, we must recommit to confronting hate and standing alongside the Jewish community.
While working Rhode Islanders pay the price for Trump's illegal Iran war, big oil is cashing in. I’m joining @whitehouse.senate.gov to pass the Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax Act & stop big corporations from profiting off your pain.
My thoughts are with the San Diego Muslim community. Hate has no place in our nation, and especially not in our houses of worship. I'll continue advocating to fully fund the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to ensure faith communities can access resources to gather safely.
On the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, we must condemn hatred in all forms. While Trump rolls back protections for our LGBTQ+ neighbors, I’m fighting to ensure all Americans have the rights they deserve, no matter their identity or who they love. #IDAHOT🏳️‍🌈
Rhode Island small businesses shouldn’t be paying the price for Trump’s illegal tariffs. I’m working to pass @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social and @bynum.house.gov RELIEF Act to return the money, lower costs, and put American businesses and workers first.
Grateful for Rhode Island’s dedicated law enforcement who keep our communities safe and we remember those who have died in the line of duty. I’ll keep working to make sure our local departments across #RI01 have the tools, training, and support they need. #NationalPoliceWeek🚓
Welcomed Rhode Island physicians to my Washington office! 🩺 While Trump and Republicans push health care cuts, we’re fighting to make sure every Rhode Islander can access affordable, quality care. I’ll keep working alongside providers and advocates to protect patients.
🚨 Trump’s corruption is a national security threat. The President of the United States bought millions in NVIDIA stock, then approved advanced AI chip sales to China. He’s sacrificing America’s technological edge and cashing in doing it.
BREAKING: Trump purchased up to a $1 million worth of Nvidia, $NVDA, stock on January 6, 2026. This is a week before the Commerce Department officially approved the sale of Nvidia chips to China.
Firearms are the leading cause of death for children in the United States. Inaction is not an option. Spoke with health care professionals from OnCall4Kids about advancing commonsense gun safety solutions to keep kids and communities safe.
Scammers don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican – they just want to steal your money & exploit your trust. That’s why I stood alongside my colleagues in the bipartisan Stop Scams Caucus on National Scam Survivor Day to protect victims, fight crimes, raise awareness & reduce stigma.
Trump is spending BILLIONS of your taxpayer dollars on his illegal war of choice with Iran. Brown University researchers are tracking the costs in #RI01. Joined MSNOW to explain how rising costs from gas to groceries are inflicting pain on the American people for no good reason.
