This ruling sends a clear message: Donald Trump and his Big Oil donors are not above the law. We must keep fighting Trump's overreach on the Sable project to protect our coastline.
This bill would create a bipartisan, independent commission consisting of physicians, psychiatrists, and former government officials to evaluate a president's mental or physical capacity to carry out their duties. We need accountability in the White House, full stop.

Trump is clearly unfit to lead, but the chances his Cabinet invokes the 25th Amendment are slim. That's why I'm supporting new legislation to give Congress a role in this process.
Welcomed the spring season by exploring with the More Mesa Preservation Coalition. I am grateful for their work to protect this local favorite spot for hiking, biking, and bird watching! 🌳
Completely out of touch with what families are experiencing at the pump.
I voted in favor of the War Powers Resolution to stop Trump’s illegal war. Read my full statement:
I will keep pushing to stop Trump’s war in Iran and address the cost-of-living crisis.
This Tax Day, Republicans are claiming to put money back in the pockets of working people – but their agenda has made everything more expensive for everyday Americans. Tariffs, healthcare cuts, SNAP cuts, and now rising gas prices are hurting families.
High school artists, this Friday is the FINAL day to submit your artwork to the Congressional Art Competition. I'm always so amazed by the artwork of students across the Central Coast, and can't wait to see the submissions this year!

Had an incredible visit to the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum and Cultural Center where I learned about their traditions, history, and relationship with the land. This is an important resource for teaching future generations about the history of the Santa Ynez Valley.
With this funding, the fire station will be able to expand their operations to make room for additional vehicles and personnel. 🚒
I am proud to have secured $1.2 million for the Fire Station 1 Expansion Project in Santa Maria. Santa Maria’s firefighters do incredible work for the community and they deserve to have modern facilities.
I hosted a roundtable discussion along with Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco on affordable housing. We need consistent support from every level of government to build more affordable homes, and I’ll continue working with local partners to reduce housing costs on the Central Coast.
I am proud to lead legislation in Congress to increase protection to some of the most vulnerable parts of this area from any oil or gas drilling to ensure future generations can enjoy this iconic natural treasure! 🌼
Today we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Carrizo Plain National Monument, an area home to incredible biodiversity, scenic landscapes, and unique cultural history.
Their work is a powerful reminder that every veteran deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. 🏡
