House Republicans handed ICE a blank check last year. Now they are back with a DHS funding bill that fails to add basic accountability measures, fails to strengthen oversight, and fails to protect taxpayer dollars. Americans deserve better.
President Trump ran on restoring American manufacturing and reducing our trade deficit, but his chaotic, tariff policy has only created uncertainty for American families. Thank you, Rep. Mark Pocan, for joining me in hearing our community's concerns about these reckless tariffs.
Republicans have twisted priorities. They took away healthcare from millions of Americans while building an arena & Ballroom at the White House to entertain President Trump. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to bring down the cost of living.
How much does your gas cost? How much do your eggs cost? How much was your last gallon of milk? Americans are feeling the consequences of Trump’s reckless policies. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to help hardworking Americans while Republicans cater to billionaires.
Republicans refuse to invest in the research that saves lives. In fact, they’re working overtime to make us weaker, sicker, and poorer. I’m proudly fighting back against their latest attempt to gut Health and Human Services. 🔴WATCH NOW @democrats-appropriations.house.gov: youtu.be/MWEhc-M22go
Screwworm has been detected in Texas cattle, meaning beef prices could rise even higher. Seems like a good time to recall that the Trump Administration & Elon Musk caused chaos & pushed out thousands of workers at the Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service.
Instead of addressing the affordability crisis, Republicans cut $2 billion from the Affordable Care Act and $8 billion from the Department of Education, jeopardizing the health and future of our country. I am fighting to end these attacks on Americans.
I voted yesterday to end Trump’s costly war of choice in Iran. Today, I voted to prevent the Trump administration from dragging the US into Israel's war in Lebanon. We must engage in serious diplomacy with real ceasefires to prevent further escalation across the region.
Trump’s new SNAP requirements have driven thousands of CT residents off this lifeline, including veterans, parents with older children, & older adults – all while he deepens the cost-of-living crisis. Thank you to @GovNedLamont for ensuring CT residents are taken care of.
Appointing Bill Pulte, a Trump loyalist with no national security experience, to be Director of National Intelligence is an insult to those who work every day to keep Americans safe and will put our communities in danger. This reckless pick must not be confirmed.
The Trump Administration values loyalty over qualifications. These hirings weaken our security and put the lives of Americans in the hands of incompetent, untested loyalists.
Americans deserve clean air & water. But today, we're on the verge of LOSING that right, along with America's natural wonders, to yet another round of Republican cuts that cater to big polluters. Watch me fight back alongside @democrats-appropriations.house.gov: youtu.be/MaWjr70DGJE
