Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. This isn’t fooling anyone.
400,000 people in Illinois rely on ACA tax credits to pay for their health care. Republicans are shutting down the government because they want these credits to expire.
This morning, my colleagues and I stood on the House steps, ready to negotiate a bipartisan funding agreement that prevents health care premiums from skyrocketing.
House Republicans are still nowhere to be found.
The government shuts down at midnight.

Meanwhile, House Republicans canceled votes and are refusing to come back to DC.

Today, I voted against the Republican funding bill. For months, Democrats have been ready to work across the aisle to craft a bipartisan funding bill that strengthens the health, safety, and economic well-being of the American people.
RFK Jr.'s anti-science, anti-vax beliefs continue to put children's health at risk.
His committee has voted to NOT recommend the combined vaccine scientifically proven to prevent measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox.
