Donald Trump is on the wrong side of history (and the law). Judges have ruled against his illegal ICE policies over 10,000 times.
It was so wonderful to meet these kids at the Chinese Bilingual Preschool in Kearny Mesa and read to them! This school integrates Mandarin and English into its curriculum and was the first English-Mandarin immersion program for preschoolers in the county when it opened in 2011.
It’s MY constituents who are in harm’s way in Iran right now. That’s why I introduced a war powers resolution today to end this war and bring them home.
I was glad to join the San Diego District 6 Small Business Association meeting in Mira Mesa to hear from local business leaders about the challenges they’re facing, from Medicaid cuts to the lack of affordable child care and how the federal government can better support them.
It was great to meet with the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce Greater San Diego, which empowers Filipino-American entrepreneurs and professionals across San Diego. Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and I’m proud to support them!
Donald Trump says he doesn’t think about Americans’ finances when it comes to the Iran war. And I *know* he’s not thinking about our troops.
And that kinda makes sense coming from a draft dodger who’s now cashing in on the presidency.
We’ve spent billions of dollars and lost 13 American service members, and Iran still reportedly has substantial missile capabilities. Donald Trump shouldn’t have initiated this war in the first place, but now he needs to end the war quickly and permanently.
More confirmation of what we all know: guards in ICE facilities are increasingly relying on physical force or chemical agents to control detainees.
We need to dismantle and overhaul ICE and get accountability for all the hurt and pain they've caused.
Gas in San Diego County alone has gone up $1.53 since Donald Trump’s war in Iran started…and that’s not even the biggest jump in the country. He needs to end this war permanently and he needs to do it now.
Donald Trump promised Americans wouldn’t pay for his policies – but we have.
Tariffs? Each family has already paid $1,700.
His war in Iran? Gas, groceries, and utility costs are through the roof.
His ballroom? They just asked for $1 billion in taxpayer dollars.
The Trump Administration is targeting my friend, Rep. LaMonica McIver, for doing her job conducting oversight of an ICE facility in her district. Trump's tactic is to make us feel alone and isolated – but we're not. Building community makes us stronger.
Most Americans say Trump isn’t mentally fit enough to be President…and yet Secretary Hegseth refused to say the same (or disagree!) when I asked him this last week.
Millions of Americans are struggling to afford gas and groceries to make it through the week – let alone child care and housing.
But Senate Republicans and Trump don’t care. They want $1 billion of YOUR taxpayer dollars to pay for a stupid ballroom anyway.
This is a ceasefire in name only. Israel needs to adhere to the ceasefire and work in good faith toward a permanent end to the larger war with Iran and Lebanon.
More pipelines mean more spills that we pay for – with our own tax dollars, worsened health, and stifled productivity. Corporations will just rake in the profits.
This is a huge relief, but the fight’s not over. I signed an amicus brief along with hundreds of my colleagues to the Supreme Court urging them to overturn the Fifth Circuit decision. Mifepristone must remain widely accessible.
President Trump is continuing a long U.S. tradition of holding our partners to different standards than everyone else: selling billions of dollars in weapons to Israel and the UAE – despite their atrocities in Gaza and Sudan. This hypocrisy hurts us.
It’s MY constituents who are fighting this war in Iran right now – and they deserve full transparency about the nuclear risks at play. It’s time for the U.S. government to finally acknowledge Israel’s nuclear weapons capabilities.
The Trump Administration is traumatizing and punishing migrant children as young as 4 years old – putting up legal barriers so they don’t have due process, making them appear in court alone, and speeding up their deportation. It’s heartless and wrong.
Gas in San Diego is over $6 because of Trump’s unnecessary war in Iran – not anything else. We need to end this war now to get gas prices back to normal.
