I was grateful to join members of the New Hampshire chapter of No Labels in Concord for a thoughtful conversation about bipartisan problem-solving, fiscal responsibility, government transparency, and the challenges facing our country.
I had the honor spending time with WWII Navy veteran Tony Guarino to talk about his military service. Tony represents the very best of New Hampshire’s Greatest Generation — courage, patriotism, humility, and service above self. 🇺🇸
Today, we come together as Americans to remember the heroes who gave their lives for our country and to stand with the brokenhearted. To our military families: freedom is not free, and we owe you a debt of gratitude that we can never fully repay. 🇺🇸
Today, we honor the women and men who loved America enough to give their lives for our country and each and every one of us. May God Bless our fallen heroes, our servicemembers, our veterans, and our military families. We will never forget you. 🇺🇸
Tony Guarino volunteered to serve our country in the Navy in 1944 while he was still a high schooler in Lebanon, NH. I had the privilege of presenting Tony with a flag that flew in his honor over our U.S. Capitol to mark his 100th birthday. Happy 100th, Tony — fair winds and following seas. 🇺🇸
When disaster strikes, federal disaster loans keep small business in business and family farmers afloat. We must protect and strengthen those lifelines. Proud to see our bill pass unanimously in the Small Business Committee this week, and I won’t quit until we get it done.
Today, 65% of American households are priced out of a median-priced home. We must build more homes in America — and fast. To succeed in that mission, we’ve got to lower the cost of building — including by cutting red tape that is jacking up building costs in New Hampshire and across America.
Today, I had the honor of welcoming some of NH’s newest citizens as my fellow Americans. 🇺🇸 Every person who chooses to become an American renews this extraordinary experiment in self-government and keeps our country forever young. Thank you for choosing America. Thank you for choosing NH.
NH’s law enforcement officers give their lives to saving lives and upholding the rule of law. I’m grateful to the NH Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Association for bringing us together to remember and honor heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities and our country. 🇺🇸
Before sunrise, I was honored to join veterans, Gold Star families, and servicemembers for the annual Wear Blue: Run to Remember and bipartisan washing of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall. May the legacies of America’s fallen heroes live on in our hearts and in the generations to come. 🇺🇸
🚨GOOD NEWS: We secured the 218 signatures we needed on our petition to bring our bipartisan Faster Labor Contracts Act up for a vote in the House. Let’s get this done.
Unions deserve a fair shot at a first contract — not endless delay tactics designed to run out the clock. In NH, nurses voted to form the state’s first union at a private hospital — but still don’t have a contract. That’s why I’m working to pass our bipartisan Faster Labor Contracts Act.
Consolidation and anticompetitive abuses are devastating for New Hampshire small businesses. As a former federal antitrust enforcer, I know how to fight back. Capitalism without competition is not capitalism—it’s exploitation.
🚨The Pentagon is asking for another $1,500,000,000,000 in taxpayer dollars. The Air Force is asking for $338,800,000,000 — a $92,500,000,000 budget increase. These are big numbers, but they will never become abstractions to me. Public trust depends on clean audits.
