Just because Pam Bondi was fired doesn’t excuse her from accountability for her role in the Epstein file coverup. There is still a bipartisan subpoena to have her testify in front of Congress, and she must comply so the American people can get the truth.
It’s been one year since Trump’s “Liberation Day”, and the only thing he’s liberated Americans from is their hard-earned money. His illegal tariffs have robbed households $1,700 on average. When are House Republicans going to grow a spine and stop this?
I’ll be joining @aliciamenendez.bsky.social on @ms.now around 1:20pm PT to discuss the firing of Pam Bondi as Attorney General today.
Pam Bondi will be remembered for hiding the Epstein files and turning the DOJ into Trump’s personal law firm. Even her outrageous performance in front of Congress wasn’t enough to save her job.
Trump is attacking citizens’ ability to vote by mail when he himself cast his ballot by mail just last week. He’s trying to suppress votes because he knows Americans are fed up with his costly tariffs, his illegal war with Iran, and his attacks on our healthcare.
Today is #FarmWorkersDay, and I am proud to fight for the hardworking people in the Salinas Valley who help to put food on Americans’ tables. In Congress, I’ve introduced the bipartisan Farm Workforce Modernization Act to provide needed stability for farms and farm workers.
House Democrats had to fight to unfreeze education funding that the Trump Admin illegally withheld from our schools. The Secretary of Education says our kids are doing terribly but she’s contributing to the problem.
It was a pleasure to attend last night’s Celebrate Morgan Hill Awards to honor all the businesses and individuals who have made great contributions to this community. Their involvement and leadership have made the city of Morgan Hill an exceptional place to live. #CA18
The Supreme Court ruled that Trump’s tariffs were illegal, but he doubled down on taxing Americans. He’s implementing new tariffs that will take even more money out of your pocket than last year.
🚨NEW BILL: Yesterday, Rep. Ben Cline and I introduced the Bankruptcy Venue Reform Act. This bipartisan legislation will prevent corporations filing for bankruptcy from tipping the scales of justice by shopping for courts likely to issue favorable rulings.

REMINDER: Submissions for the Congressional Art Competition are due in 3 weeks. If you or a #CA18 student want the chance to have your art displayed in our nation’s Capitol, please visit lofgren.house.gov/art-competition.
Airports are a mess right now, and Republicans could easily fix it if they would just pass Democrats’ bill to fund TSA. Let’s pay our TSA agents and end these unnecessary lines and delays.

“Your advocacy and your intelligent input makes a difference.” @lofgren.house.gov joins APS on Capitol Hill to discuss the need for basic science research and the important role of scientists in #advocacy. #FightForPhysiology #APSHillDay 🧪
As the daughter of a Teamster truck driver, I know how important unions are for improving wages and working conditions. It was an honor to receive the Power Ally Award from the South Bay Labor Council, and I’m proud to fight for California workers in Congress.

Rep. Lofgren: We can find the money to do all this other stuff — to give tax breaks to these billionaire bros who apparently have the ear of the President, or to spend $2 billion a day attacking Iran — but we can’t let them get medical care?
Happy National Agriculture Day to all the farmers who help to put food on Americans’ tables! I’m proud to represent the Salinas Valley, “America’s Salad Bowl”, and I’m working hard to pass legislation that will stabilize our farm workforce and protect our food supply.
