President Trump has once again embarrassed our nation on the international stage. The American people and the world deserve leadership that uplifts our values, strengthens alliances, and restores respect for the United States. #LeadershipMatters
Trump’s push for a “Convention of States” isn’t about shrinking gov’t; it’s about rewriting the Constitution. Once opened, extremists could erase rights, scrap checks & balances, even pave the way for Trump’s 3rd term; or worse, a constitutional monarchy. #ProtectTheConstitution
Wishing all those celebrating in #IL01 a happy, healthy and sweet new year. Shanah Tovah U'metukah!
Shanah Tovah! In the midst of increasingly difficult times for the Jewish community in America and around the world, may this season of renewal bring you and your family peace, happiness and good health.
Chicago and the world mourn the loss of Ron Carroll, a true legend of house music and a cherished voice from our city. His music united generations and put Chicago’s sound on the global stage. Rest in power, brother Ron.
If you don't have a problem with this, then you don't understand what it means to be an American...masked government agents assaulting American citizens is NOT what our Founders envisioned when they declared their independence from Tyranny
As a member of the @houseforeign.bsky.social I'd like to inform our "Merit" based #SecWar that THREE Mach 3 capable Russian MIG-31 fighters carrying Mach 10 Kinzhal air-launched hypersonic ballistic missiles spent 12 minutes flying around @NATO airspace. Why hasn't our Defense Department responded?

If there is a government shutdown, Republicans will own it.
Nothing like hearing a former Fox & Friends co-host preach about “MERIT.” If DIVERSITY scares you, you fear competition. If EQUITY bothers you, you’re used to privilege. If INCLUSION offends you, you want to keep certain people out. We used to call that what it is: SEGREGATION
When the federal government controls what's on TV, it's not 'independent media'—it's government propaganda. It looks like every new TV show will need the personal sign-off from #Trump. Hope everyone is ready for endless reruns of "The Apprentice" and classic John Wayne movies on State-run media
If a President can silence late-night comedians, punish private workers for dissent, blackmail colleges, bend law firms, and ignore the Constitution, we are no longer a #democracy. Congress must act as a coequal branch to stop the despotic machinations of a pseudo-tyrant. #Freespeech depends on it.
As your representative in Congress, I look forward to continuing these conversations and working together to ensure our community has access to the support and care it needs.
On September 13, I joined the Mokena community to speak with you directly. We discussed important issues like Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP, and shared concerns about healthcare access and support for families.
Agitators went to @govpritzker.illinois.gov home, filming security and entrances while invoking the tragedy of Charlie Kirk’s assassination to incite action and spewing hate toward migrants and trans people. We know this playbook of division. Chicago will not let extremists exploit this for violence
#TACO #Trump strikes again. Chicago rejected #MilitaryOccupation, so now the troops are headed elsewhere. We want to work with the Federal government on crime, guns, drugs, and opportunity—but it must be based on partnership, not occupation.
A growing number of HBCUs are on lockdown due to targeted threats. These hate crimes are unacceptable. I stand with the students, faculty, and communities affected, and call on DOJ and FBI to act swiftly.
Our country needs leadership that unites, not divides.
With over $82M in trade between our nations last year, these policies could have a major impact on Gambia’s economy. I look forward to continuing our dialogue and exploring ways to strengthen cooperation between our countries.
This week I had the pleasure of meeting with Gambian Ambassador Momodou Lamin Bah to discuss key issues affecting Gambia, including new U.S. tariffs, visa restrictions, and foreign aid cuts.
Political violence has no place in America. The attack on Charlie Kirk is shocking and unacceptable, and I condemn it without hesitation.
My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as we work to end the rise of hate and division in our country.
