I think going to war with Iran is an awful, stupid, reckless idea. But if Trump wants to do it so bad, he should follow the Constitution and come to Congress to get authorization. If Republicans want a war so bad, they should at least have the guts to vote for it.
America right now...
His speech really is one big lie. It would make Kim Jong Un blush. And Republicans in Congress are like a cult. The economy sucks, he's telling everyone it's great, and they stand and applaud. It's insane.
This has me yearning for the days when the State of the Union was a written address…

Instead of addressing violence & crime, Trump has closed the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, cut $300M for community violence interruption, and legalized the sale of devices that turn semi-automatic weapons into machine guns.
He has chosen the gun lobby over American families. #StateoftheUnion
He’s been ranting and raving like a lunatic for an hour, yet not a word so far about Jeffrey Epstein—you know, the massive coverup that dwarfs Watergate—or why Donald Trump continues to protect his pedophile friends instead of seeking justice for survivors.
The only one trying to cheat is Donald Trump. He tried to steal the election on January 6th. And now, he’s lying about the so-called "SAVE America" Act. That bill is all about making it HARDER FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS TO REGISTER TO VOTE.
His family's wealth has gone up by BILLIONS since he took the presidency. He is the biggest crook in the history of the Republic.
💸A multi-million dollar luxury jumbo jet from Qatar—in exchange for God knows what.
💸Billions in investments from crypto scams.
💸Millions in donations for his ballroom from lobbyists and special interests.
Correct—Members of Congress shouldn’t trade stock.
Now let's talk about the billions in bribes & corrupt pay-to-play schemes Trump has solicited.

This BS about lowering costs is rich coming from the guy who kicked millions of Americans off their health insurance, spiked premiums for over 20 MILLION Americans, & called the concept of making life more affordable for working people, a ‘hoax.’
He cut Medicaid by a trillion dollars.
News flash for Don the con: Healthcare costs are higher than ever because you refused to extend the tax credits that would have prevented premiums from soaring. People's premiums doubled and tripled because you failed to act.
By the way, as he's bragging about his economy, remember, costs are WAY UP under Trump.
The price of beef has risen 16.4% since he took office. The price of coffee is up 20%. The price of lettuce is up 7%. Frozen fish 8.6%.
His economy sucks.
Reminder: Trump’s tariffs are the largest tax hike in history—costing American families an average of $1,745 over the last year.
His tariffs are a tax. You pay for them.

6 in 10 Americans disapprove of Trump's economy. Still no plan to lower costs from the President. #SOTU www.nbcnews.com/politics/tru...
Another lie. You just can’t keep up with his bullshit. The Big Ugly Bill does NOTHING to cut taxes on social security.
Good luck tonight, @ddale8.bsky.social

Trump just bragged about kicking millions of Americans off SNAP and food assistance programs…
Ripping the rug from underneath families who are already struggling is not an accomplishment. It's a failure.
And this President is failing the American people.
He is a liar. It was the largest tax cut in history—but it was for millionaires and billionaires. That's why Democrats voted no.
For the record, Trump isn't lifting people off food assistance. He's kicking them off.
And he's doing it so he can keep giving tax breaks to billionaires.
Hunger has never been worse in America.
