Trump says he “doesn’t want to hear about affordability.” He admits he “doesn’t think about Americans’ financial situation.” Do you really think this guy gives a shit about you?
Trump’s own government gave him, his kids & his companies lifetime immunity from IRS audits and tax prosecution. They line their own pockets with taxpayer money and get out of jail free. This is the kind of large-scale fraud & corruption you’d expect in Russia or North Korea. Trump brought it here.
🚨 Trump's IRS settlement now includes a clause from DOJ effectively granting Trump a blanket pardon for any past or present tax crimes.
Honored to join folks at Amherst College for their college reunion! Access to quality education is a human right—and our Ahmerst Alumni are paying it forward, giving back, and using their education to contribute to their communities & their country. Keep doing great things!
In the richest country in history, everyone should be able to access fresh, local produce—and local farms help make that a reality. Great to attend this weekend’s North Hadley Asparagus Day festival to celebrate our farmers. Their fresh produce keeps our community healthy & fed!
Young people deserve to know they’ll be able to afford groceries, buy a home, & raise a family when they grow up. Enjoyed meeting with students from Sullivan & Sutton Middle Schools. Their inquisitive questions & inspirational stories give me great hope for the future of our country!
Thanks to my friend Richard Gere, who’s championing my bill that would elevate the Central Tibetan Administration & give them the power to negotiate with China. The Tibetan people have the right to choose who governs them. It’s time we exercise our power to uphold that right.
Honored to host high school students in my district at Doherty Memorial High School to share information about the Congressional Nomination process to U.S. Service Academies. Grateful that there are so many young people considering a career in our armed services—they’re an inspiration!
Thanks @keating.house.gov for hosting the 8th stop of my #EndHungerNow Tour at PACE Food Bank & New Bedford Public Schools’ culinary kitchen! The work they’re doing is so important in our mission to ensure no one goes hungry in the richest country in history. Thank you!
Medicaid helps people with disabilities live, work, and participate in their communities. It’s shameful that Republicans are cutting those programs. Great to join the 35th annual Providers of Central Massachusetts in Worcester—they’re fighting for folks’ right to live with dignity & respect.
The U.S. must stand for those who defend human rights. Ruth Lopez has been imprisoned for political reasons. The government of El Salvador should release her immediately. The Trump Administration should stand with human rights defenders, not the dictator who jails them. FREE RUTH LOPEZ!!!
Trump is destroying America’s long legacy of defending religious freedom at home and abroad. Click the link in the comments to read my oped about why it matters—and what Congress can do to reverse course before it’s too late.
While many are trying to pull us apart, organizations like the Retired Friends of Greendale are building community. It was an honor to present them with a flag flown over the Capitol to celebrate America’s 250th—a reminder that our common love of country is stronger than what divides us.
Elections have consequences—and none are more severe than Trump’s Big Ugly Law, which threw at least 700,000 KIDS off nutrition assistance (that we know of). One hungry kid in this country is one too many. Hundreds of thousands is beyond shameful. I’m furious. You should be too.
Everyone deserves access to fresh, local produce—and family farms in Massachusetts are leading the way to make that happen! Great to visit Dan & his brother John from Smiarowski Farms in Sunderland. They grow asparagus, delivered to schools, restaurants, & grocery stores across the Commonwealth!
