It was great to be in Foster for the groundbreaking of the new police headquarters this morning. This facility will support officers and improve public safety across the community.
This week at my office’s annual Veterans Breakfast, we recognized Meals on Wheels Rhode Island for their support of veterans across the state. They provide home-delivered meals, and host Veterans Cafes that bring people together. Their work strengthens community and connection every day.
Tax breaks for the rich, health care cuts for the middle class.
This week I presented my friend Rep. Sam Azzinaro with a Veterans Leadership Award. Through his own military service to his years as chair of the RI House Veterans Affairs Committee, Sam has worked tirelessly to ensure veterans receive the respect and benefits they have earned.
A mother, in the country legally for 40 years, now locked up without access to a lawyer just because she shoplifted in 2012.
This does nothing to make our country stronger or safer.
The cruelty of the Trump Administration is going too far.

Commander Bob Flynn has spent his life serving others — first in the Navy, now as Director of the Center for Military & Veterans Education at URI. I was proud to honor him with a Veterans Leadership Award at our Veterans Breakfast this week.
House Republicans are back from their taxpayer-funded vacation.
But they do know how to work hard: when billionaires need a tax break or Argentina needs a bailout, they’re all over it.
It’s only when working Americans need health care that House Rs are nowhere to be found.
I cannot and will not in good conscience vote for a budget that will make health insurance unaffordable for countless people.
We are in a health care affordability crisis, and I will continue to fight to restore ACA funding to lower health care costs for Americans.
Local police work tirelessly to keep our communities safe, often on tight budgets.
I am proud to have secured federal funding to help the Cranston Police Department upgrade its fleet and support its K-9 unit. 🐾
Wishing @reed.senate.gov a very happy birthday! Thank you for your decades of service and steadfast leadership for Rhode Island and our country.
It was an honor to once again join veterans and their families for the State of Rhode Island’s Annual Veterans Day Ceremony.
I’m voting no. Then here is what is next.
Today, hundreds of veterans & their families joined us in Warwick for our 2nd Annual Veterans Appreciation Event.
This event honors those who show steadfast commitment to service to veterans.
Thank you to everyone who attended & a special thank you to all who served. 🇺🇸
As we honor Veterans Day this week, we also celebrate the anniversary of the United States Marine Corps.
Thank you to all the Rhode Island Marines, past and present, for your courage, dedication, and service to our nation. 🇺🇸
House Republicans have been on vacation for 51 days.
The government is shut down and health care costs are exploding.
Cancel the vacation, and let's get back to Washington. We have work to do.
Enjoyed joining the Armenian community at Armenian Fest RI!
Fantastic food, music, and dancing at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church. This event was a wonderful celebration of culture and community. 🇦🇲
I joined the annual “Reason to Run” event in Johnston today to support brain cancer research.
Life saving medical research must be protected and expanded.
I am proud to have secured $350,000 for the Cranston Police Department to upgrade their vehicles that support the K-9 unit that helps with search-and-rescue and comforting victims of violent crimes.
Honored to support Cranston’s four-legged officers! 🐾
House Republicans have been on vacation for 50 days.
The government is shut down and health care costs are exploding.
Cancel the vacation, and let's get back to Washington. We have work to do.
We all saw this coming.
Criminals are posing as ICE agents to prey on innocent people. This is the result of ICE wearing masks and using inappropriate violent tactics.
Along with my Homeland Dems colleagues, I will investigate these crimes and the Trump Admin policies that have enabled them.
