🚨 After years of advocacy, the RI House Judiciary Committee just passed an assault weapons ban.
This is a major step to keep people safe from senseless gun violence. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard for so long to make today’s win possible.

June is Caribbean American Heritage Month. This month, we’re celebrating Rhode Island’s vibrant Caribbean American community and their contributions to our history, culture, and society.
It is Gun Violence Awareness Month, & I’m reintroducing my bill to crack down on dealers who illegally sell guns to those who shouldn’t have them.
90% of crime scene guns trace back to just 5% of dealers—We can reduce gun violence by targeting those who knowingly arm criminals.
We have a housing crisis in our state, which is why it was so important to break ground today with @crossroadsri.bsky.social on 35 new homes for Rhode Islanders transitioning out of homelessness.
More housing supply at any level will improve housing affordability at every level.
