President Trump must put our troops and national security first. Waltz must step down. If he won't, President Trump should fire him.

While Trump & the GOP try to erase trans people, I'm proud to stand with my colleagues in the Equality Caucus as we celebrate #TransDayOfVisibility. I'm working towards a future where trans people are always free to live openly & authentically.
Devastating news. Sending deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the soldiers we lost. May their memories be a blessing. www.nbcnews.com/news/militar...
Read my op-ed in @FoxNews about how @newdems.bsky.social are charting a better path forward: www.foxnews.com/opinion/new-...
"As the costs of Trump’s chaos economy become increasingly clear, Americans are looking to congressional Democrats to fight for them... That is exactly what the New Democrat Coalition – a group of 115 pragmatic, center-left House Democrats dedicated to finding commonsense solutions – is offering."
Trump's chaotic trade wars are costing American retirement accounts, businesses, and the economy. That's why I introduced the Repealing Outdated and Unilateral Tariff Authorities Act, which would remove a trade war weapon from Trump's arsenal that is ultimately a tax on you and your family.
Pete Hegseth must resign. If he won't, President Trump should fire him.
Every parent wants the best for their children - including access to a quality education. Trump's dismantling of the Department of Education threatens this very vision. I urge Congress to advance the Department of Education Protection Act and stop Trump's illegal takeover of our education system.

Statement from Chair @repschneider.bsky.social on how Republicans are refusing to lower costs for Americans and instead are working to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security ⬇️
Imagine putting in the same hours and the same effort, only to be handed a fraction of the paycheck. That’s the reality for women in America. On Equal Pay Day, I join my @demwomencaucus.bsky.social colleagues to fight for fair wages for all women. #EqualPay
The sole fact that not one of our nation's most senior security officials stepped in to stop a discussion of sensitive war plans on an unsecured group chat is deeply alarming & disqualifying. Our allies & adversaries are taking note. Every person on that chat must answer to Congress.
An egregious breach of security by those tasked with keeping us safe. Americans deserve answers, and Congress must get them. I join Ranking Member @repgregorymeeks.bsky.social in calling the Foreign Affairs Committee to immediately convene a public hearing.

Just your regular reminder that Trump's plan to line the pockets of his billionaire buddies on the backs of hardworking families will add MORE THAN $37 TRILLION to the debt over the next 30 years.

This afternoon, I toured the Silver Creek Habitat Restoration Project in McHenry County—a vital effort to restore wetlands and prairies. I secured $300K to support it, but House Republicans are holding it up. We must invest in projects that protect our ecosystems, waterways, and natural heritage.
Today, I met Dawn, who is working hard to open their Gelato shop, Scoops, in Mundelein, but tariffs are creating uncertainty as they nears opening day. Businesses big and small need stability to thrive - President Trump’s chaotic tariffs are setting them back. The cost of chaos is hitting IL-10.
Thanks to all who signed up to attend tonight's Town Hall! We had an incredible amount of interest -- far more than we can safely accommodate. Good news: we will be livestreaming the full event on Facebook and Youtube. If you can't make it, tune in at 6:30PM CT!

The breakdown of the ceasefire and resumption of deadly violence in Gaza is deeply concerning. The renewed fighting underscores once again the devastating cost of Hamas’s intransigence and its disregard for both Palestinian and Israeli lives.
My statement:
We are continuing to fight back against Trump and Musk. Through litigation efforts that are WORKING, we are standing in the way of Trump’s lawless overreach. We MUST keep holding him accountable. Here’s the latest on legal actions thwarting Trump’s illegal efforts:
I joined experts and patients to discuss protecting Medicaid and heard countless powerful stories from those who depend on it.
Yet, Trump and House Republicans threaten millions—including nearly 20% of Illinoisans—by trying to strip away their healthcare. We will not stand for this.
