The State Health Commissioner is also requiring that the emergency department and outpatient surgery services, including specialty clinics and imaging services, remain in Long Branch indefinitely.
NEWS: I crafted legislation with RWJ Barnabas, Governor Murphy, and NJ legislative leaders Vin Gopal, Joe Vitale, Margie Donlon and Luanne Peterpaul to keep acute-care inpatient hospital services at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch!
The House has finally acted to lower health care costs. Senate Republicans must join Democrats to immediately do the same on behalf of the more than 20 million Americans who rely on these life-saving tax credits.
Republicans cut a TRILLION dollars from health care and allowed insurance premiums to skyrocket for tens of millions of Americans.
And now they’re holding a hearing on legislation to supposedly strengthen Medicare while doing nothing to fix the chaos they’ve created in our health care system.
I stand with the people of Iran in their struggle for liberty, and condemn the Iranian regime's excessive and brutal use of force against civilians.

The Iranian regime has once again answered its people’s demands for economic prosperity and respect for basic civil and personal liberties with gunfire. It has shown repeatedly that it is not only willing to inflict terror on its neighbors, but on its own population.
The latest scenes out of Minneapolis are stomach-churning. This is a terrifying escalation of violence and these ICE agents must be held accountable.
We cannot afford a single mistake, and the Trump Admin is pushing us down a path where mistakes – potentially fatal ones – are becoming more likely. We cannot allow that to happen.
This past year Trump has put American lives at risk by dismantling the independence of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission – the agency responsible for ensuring our nuclear facilities are safe.
Trump and @houserepublicans.bsky.social want to rewrite history, but I will always fight to remember our heroes and make sure that we never repeat this shameful moment in our history.
Today, @housedemocrats.bsky.social and Senate Democrats came together on the anniversary of January 6th to remember the brave law enforcement officers who laid down their lives to protect our democracy—including Officer Brian Sicknick, from Middlesex County.
We're already in the midst of record high measles outbreaks across the country and a bad flu season.
Now, Secretary Kennedy is going to allow more deadly diseases to spread in our schools and playgrounds.
He should be fired immediately before more lives are lost.
The President needs to get on task and make life affordable, instead of threatening destabilizing conflicts left and right.
This is the exact opposite of what Trump said he'd do. Instead of putting a stop to endless wars and lowering prices, he's threatening new conflicts and making your life even more expensive.
This is good news, and just in time for National Spaghetti Day today!
Now, it’s time for the rest of Trump’s erratic tariff policies to go, too. They’re doing nothing but jacking up inflation and making groceries more expensive for people.

Putting American boots on the ground to take over a sovereign nation for unspecified reasons directly contradicts Trump’s own claims of being a “Peace President.”
He can’t even run America—let alone Venezuela.
America burned through billions of dollars and so many young men and women to try to “run” Iraq. Trump has clearly forgotten the lessons that should have been learned from those mistakes.
How does this help our national security? It doesn’t.
Trump carried out military operations in Venezuela without congressional approval. He committed an illegal act of war while risking American lives — all while calling himself a “peace president.”
I strongly oppose this action.
In simpler terms, in Trump's economy the wealthy are spending at record rates—but working Americans are pulling back and paying for essentials on credit.
Perhaps Trump meant to say he'd bring about a "Gilded Age" instead of a "golden age."
I think that’s a good motto for 2026. Simple acts of kindness and caring for your neighbors can go a long way and are part of what makes our communities strong.
